Today we went to le chateau de Chantilly. After a really long train ride we finally got breakfast. Then we went to church at a church called Notre dame (not the big cathedral in paris this one was smaller). The priest's homily was 40 minutes long. After that we went to see the castle. It wasn't a whole lot different than any other castle I've been in. It had rooms with lots of paintings on the walls and rooms lined with mirrors. When we were done with the castle we went to get lunch. We had sandwiches. Then we went to the English garden. We saw some baby ducks with their mom. Then we looked around the garden a little more. After we were done we discovered that it was already 4:00 and the last bus to the gare was at 2:30!. Then we had to walk all the way back to the gare to catch a train. It was a mile! We were all tierd after that.

Today we went to a veterinary museum. There were bones from different animals. There were also models of organs. After we looked at that we went to a different part of the museum. In this part of the museum they had animals skeletons and stuffed animals with something genetically wrong that would affect their appearance a lot. There was a stuffed cow with two heads.

Today we went to basilica saint Denis. Saint Denis was born in Italy but came to Gaul ( which is now France ) as a missionary. There he converted a lot of people to Christianity. The pagan priests were upset because of all of the people converted so they had him killed by being beheaded. After that he picked up his his head, and walked 6 miles to the spot of the st. Denis basilica. He said a sermon the entire way. This made him one of around 120 cephalophore saints.

Today we went to George Brassen. It is a really cool park. When we got there we had a picnic by a stream. The stream was very shallow so we waded in it. There were a lot of flower bushes by the stream so there were flower petals in it. We explored a bit. We even found the source of the water! A small, cement, box. Well, so much for a "natural" stream. There was also 3 feet high waterfall. Me and my brother climbed it but not my sister because she was too short. Then I dared my brother to walk in the steam through a flower bush. He made me do it first. After that we went to the playground. It was way less fun than I remembered. My brother and sister weren't having a ton of fun so we took a walk. We saw some people working on the train tracks so we watched them for a while.

Today we went to the Arenes de Lutece. We saw an arena where people sat 2000 years ago! Then a school group came and we went to the playground. A few minutes later about 50 kids, the same school group we just saw, came to the playground. They completely took over the playground! One of them even knocked my little sister, Charlotte over. After that we went to explore the rest of the park.

Today we went to the cite de sciences. It is a really cool science museum. We saw an exhibit on invasive plant species. It was cool but not the best part of the visit. Then we went to an exhibit on houses. This was very interesting because it let you see how people built houses in the past and how the layout was functional. It was also somewhat interactive because it had you smell things that were smells that might be in a house. Then it had how houses might be in the future. After that we went to the math exhibit. There was an exhibit on the normal distribution. It was very interesting. Then we went to the tranpertation exhibit. There were stuff people would take with them to work or when they traveled. There were pictures of ways people got places in other country's. then we went to an exhibit on energy and energy conservation. We played a game where we had to change stuff to be more energy efficient. Then we went to an exhibit on fibers that might be used in the future. There was a "mood dress" where the neck changed color based on your mood. Then my little brother and sister went with my dad to the kids exhibit. Then me and my mom went to and exhibit on the economy. We played a game where we compared how much we would spend on food if we had to pay for it ourselfs
or if we split the cost with someone else. Then we played giant dominoes game to show how an economy crash works. Then we put our face on a fake euro. After that we went to an exhibit on optical illusions. There were also some parts of it about light. Then we went to an exhibit on sound. We played a game where we had to figure out what a sound was. Then we were all tierd so we went home.

Today we went to a cemetery called Père Lachaise. There were a lot of family graves there. We saw some graves of famous people there; Monge, a mathematician, Rossini, a composer, Jim Morison, and Haussmann, responsible for the redesign of Paris.

Today we went to the veneration of the Holy Crown of Thorns. It was really long. It was about 2 hours long. After sitting through that we got to kiss the Crown of Thorns! It was exciting! My brother said he was going to die of boredom. Since we forgot to have lunch we all were very hungry so after we were done we went to get pastries to eat.

Today we went to Fontenay sous Bois. I know that to you this means nothing. It is not a big park or a interesting museum or a national monument. It is just part of the Paris suburbs. It is important to me because that is where I lived for a year three years ago. We went to the parc des Epivans and it was really fun. That was the park that we went to when we lived in Fontenay sous Bois. We went to the bakery that we used to buy bread at. They still remembered us and commented on how much we'd grown. That was nice and i guess true but still so typical. Then we went to my old school and said "hi" to my old teacher. He was really surprised to see us because he didn't expect to see us again. Then we went to the mall right next to our old apartment. That was not the best part of the day but it was still interesting how stuff had changed.

Today we didn't do much. We went to a playground and walked around a bit. The problem with the playground was that it was for 10 and under so I couldn't play. If there had been no one there I might have ignored that rule but there were about 10 three year olds and at least 5 kids under 3. Then my mom decided that I needed exercise so she made me walk around the park with her.

Today we went to the decathlon. It is a store that sells stuff for sports and camping. It was because my sister needed a sleeping bag. We went there on a bus but my mom confused two station and we got off at the wrong stop. Then we had to walk about a mile past a construction site because we were so far away. The bus home was fine though.

Today we went to the cité de l'architecture. It was fun but not quite as fun as I hoped. Later we went to mass at Notre Dame. It was really cool. It is a really big church.

Today was my first day in Paris. Our apartment is really cool. It is also kind of small even though it is 3 floors high. The first floor has the kitchen/dining room, the kids' bedroom and a bathroom. The second floor has the living room and a full bathroom. The last floor is just the master bedroom. We didn't do much today though we did go to the park for a while. Later we went to the store and guess what song was on the radio! Right "we are never getting back together" by Taylor Swift.
